I lead because I believe that there is truth in every story, and those truths have the power to dramatically impact the lives of people for generations to come.
I’m honored by the faith and mentorship of Representative Winnie Brinks, who has always been a champion for our community values. She has proven that courage is not a gendered trait and that stepping up is never too much to ask. Women like me are witnesses to the power and determination of this strong woman whose will to win for the people she serves cannot be thwarted by anything or anyone who would dare to stand in her way.
The power of women lies the breadth of our empathy, our ability to connect across all barriers, and the depth of our capacity to love. These are the qualities of a strong leader and the hallmarks of a true representative. We must embrace this concept of strong female leadership and answer the call of our constituents for change.
I’m running for State Representative to find common ground and work together with the community. This race is about putting your full weight behind a message that you believe in. When I ask people to join me, we work side by side as we roll this boulder up the hill. When we reach the peak, we will see that our mission is unstoppable, and we will win.
Lauren is a first-time candidate who wants to better the lives of people in her community. Her goal is find common ground and work together. She will lead with sensitivity, compassion, caring, and kindness. In a political culture largely defined by men, some might assume those traits are signs of weakness. Lauren knows better than that. She’s ready to flip the script, stand proud and strong, and win in 2018.
